Our Story

My love of food started with two fathers, Vernon and Dewey. They taught me that barbecue is about more than putting meat on a fire. It’s about patience, taking pride in what you make, and bringing people together around the table.

They showed me the value of the old ways: learning the fire, trusting your senses, and giving good food the time it deserves. They also inspired me to keep learning and try new techniques. Today, I bring both into every cook—respect for what they taught me and the drive to make each meal my own.

Smoking Revolver BBQ & Spice Co. grew from that love of food and barbecue. Every rub, sauce, and plate carries a little of what Vernon and Dewey passed on to me. When I cook for you, I’m sharing that story—and the joy of good food that started it all.

If it doesn’t slap, it doesn’t leave the kitchen.
